any good quality motor oil will do the job..

but there are some oils that are Bike specific.. look for an oil that says.. 4 stroke motorcycle on the label

Any 10W40 non-synthetic motorcycle oil will work fine. DONT use car oil. Car oil has friction blockers that will affect the clutch performance in a motorcycle.

Theres no such thing as a 1996 ninja1000. there is a ZX11 (1100) and a ZX-9.
