How do you change spark plugs on a Yamaha VStar 1100 Silverado 2005?

How do you change spark plugs on a Yamaha VStar 1100 Silverado 2005?
I need to know if I have to really pull off the gas tank in order to change the plugs on my Yamaha VStar 1100 Silverado 2005. Thanks for any help!

with a sparkplug wrench silly.

there shold be two chrome covers that clip off on the tops of the engine than use the spark plug wrech
