Is anyone having mechanical problems with the Can-am Spyder three wheeled motorcycle?

Is anyone having mechanical problems with the Can-am Spyder three wheeled motorcycle? – My bike has been in the repair shop 7 of the last eight weeks. My bike has had three factory recalls in as many months.
I failed to mention that this is the Spyder RT semi auto, which was purchased new in May 2010 for about $ 30k.

I keep telling people on here that they are junk….nobody believes me….maybe they will now…..lol

I still don’t think they’re junk, but without knowing what it’s been in for, how can we tell? Maybe you don’t ride worth a damn and you tear it up…

Or maybe you got a Monday bike.

Didn’t see anyone respond that actually had one…

Unfortunately, some people are having issues – the DPS (power steering) has been a problem for some from the start. The current recall/replacement of the DPS unit appears to be taking care of most of these problems.

I am lucky, and have had no issues in two years with my 08 SE5 with 5,000 miles now.

As far as the ‘junk’ statement – only from someone who has no clue as to what they’re talking about… Wonder what piece of crap he rides?

I suggest you go to www.spyderlovers.com – a very good Spyder website/forum with thousands of very knowledgable members. Lots of info on the DPS and the recall.
