What is the difference between a motorcycle & a chopper ? Answer:

Answer by aaron b
Both machines are motorcycles, however a Chopper has a much longer than normal front fork set, and usually has a wider than normal back tire. It is heavily designed and based depending on model for a certain look. The gas tanks are often something special to look at but usually smaller than a normal tank would be so it’s not going to be ridden very far. A regular motorcycle designed for the street will take curves very well, but a Chopper does not. It is better suited for long straight runs with minimal curves.

A Chopper originally was a stock motorcycle that was
chopped, or had certain parts removed by the rider to make it more custom to his or her own preferences.
If the didn’t like the full fenders then they were chopped off.
If the didn’t like the fat tank then it was removed for a smaller
sleeker looking tank. They didn’t like the fat front tire so they
changed the factory fork for a long slender anti establishment , fork. Making a custom motorcycle a form of
personal expression, to send a message of sticking it to the man. That is the original reason for the emergence of this trend in the 60′s and 70′s.
